Al Davis Bio

Al Davis is a Southern Soul Artist who specializes in studio/mastering engineer and music production. Having recorded and produced music for Willie Morris (Cameo), Mark Lockett (The Reddings), Sonny Spoon, Princess LaShelle, as well as background vocals for the Late Whitney Houston and many other artists. 

Al Davis was born in Macon, Georgia. Al's desire to sing began by watching his belated father, James Davis, perform in a male traveling group. He would also listen to mother, Lucile, listening to some good ole blues. At an early age, Al Davis sang and toured with the Silver Stars Gospel Quartet and various Community Choirs as a traveling musician. As a traveling musician, Al learned a lot about music as well as the entertainment industry. Using his talent as a keyboardist, Al Davis has played for Southern Soul Artists: “Jeff Floyd” & “Nelson (Sugaa Shack) Curry. Not to mention Al had the honor of sharing the stage with many other artists such as: Fantasia, Gladys Knight, Bobby Rush, Keith Sweat, Betty Wright, Bigg Robb, Sir Charles, Mint Condition and lots many more.

Although, worldwide, things slowed down drastically during the pandemic, Al has taken time to produce his own music.  His enthusiasm created a virtual arena to capture audiences with the release of his first single entitled: ‘Its My Time to Party On The Weekend’, which is also the title of his upcoming debut album. Al's new single reached the charts in eleven countries. "Its My Time to Party" was also awarded for top streams, landing top 3 on various southern soul radio outlets, as well as a spot on Jackson Music Awards Spotlight of the week. Also, to be featured on his upcoming album are: "Put a Twist in Ya Dip" ft. Jeter Jones & "Big Booty Baby" ft. Willie Morris, which are currently available on all digital platforms. Both singles have also been highlighted on Jackson Music Awards Spotlight of the week, not to mention placing on many southern soul charts.Al's goal is to stay in the top five in order to become the second Southern Soul Artist in history to get signed to a major record label. Al Davis, 2021 ZBT AWARDS BEST NEW MALE ARTIST NOMINEE, believes with God’s guidance and protection, he will always be a winner regardless of the obstacles and challenges he may face in his career.
